New video solution for LEA
Permanent video solution with VIMP
Since our previous video service, educast.nrw, has been discontinued statewide, the university has decided to go with the well-established German company VIMP for a permanent video platform.. VIMP is already successfully used at many universities
This platform is already being successfully used by many universities. For example, in North Rhine-Westphalia, the University of Bielefeld, the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund, and the University of Police and Public Administration are using VIMP. Even the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt) has chosen this video solution.
The E-Learning team supports with training, tutorials and consultations
Anyone wishing to upload videos to LEA can now use the "Videos (media portal)" object. Videos which have been uploaded to LEA via the "Opencast" object will only be available in LEA until March 28, 2024. If these videos should remain available, it is necessary to upload them again via the new "Video (media portal)" object.
During the video migration process, the E-Learning Team provides support with tutorials, consultations, support, and training. More information and training dates can be found in our LEA Toolkit (registration in LEA required).
