What is Diversity Snack?

The "Diversity Snack" is an opportunity for university members to share a part of their lives by offering a typical or special meal and presenting their culinary culture. This gives all members of the university the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more about each other in a pleasant atmosphere.

Who can take part?

All students, language course participants and employees of H-BRS.

What can I offer?

Typical snacks from your culture, your favourite snack from your home country, snacks that are eaten on special occasions, etc.

What is my contribution to the Diversity Snack?

As a Diversity Snack! actor you only need to take care of the purchase/preparation of the snacks. We will reimburse you up to 150 euros for the costs of ingredients, drinks and snacks.

What else is interesting for the stand?

Information about your country of origin (posters, photos,...), a poster with terms from your first language (e.g. hello, please, thank you, bon appétit, another phrase.) can be printed in our office.

When and where does the Diversity Snack take place?

The Diversity Snack takes place exclusively during the lunch break, in front of the Mensa on the campus where the participant is based. Spots are available from April to November, with participants able to select the most convenient day for them.

Will I receive support?

Yes, we take care of all facilities like tables, plates, napkins, cups, etc. In addition, we support you on-site during the event and prepare the decoration.

Why is it worth taking part?

You are helping to facilitate encounters and dialogue and to learn from each other. For your commitment, you may receive a Respekt! Diversity Ambassador Certificate.
