Video: Summer School sensitises students in dealing with plastic waste
Plastics are all around us: as packaging materials, for thermal insulation, for insulation or as components of adhesives and cosmetics. However, once they are disposed of, they become a danger to the environment and health. Part of the Summer School, which the International Office organised together with several H-BRS departments in August, tried to sensitise students to how to deal with plastic waste.
The Summer School is an interdisciplinary project carried out by the International Office of the University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Departments of Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Technical Journalism and Natural Sciences. The project part on the topic of plastic waste was supervised by Professor Steinhaus (Department of Natural Sciences). The event was held under the motto "Sustainable Innovations and Engineering Made in Germany".
