Registration

District patrons: Please use the online registration form via MIA (available in the library and from home). After filling out the form, please contact our staff at the service desk during our opening hours with library personnel to collect your library card

Adults: Please bring your passport or travel ID card + original proof of residence (less than a year old) with you

Minors: Minimum registration age: 14 years. In addition to a passport or travel ID + original proof of residence, you need to bring a form of consent signed by your parents or legal guardians.

District patrons will be charged an annual fee of 10 EUR

Contract teachers: Please use the online registration form via MIA (in the library or from home).
Apart from the registration, we will also need a written proof of your employment with the university. After completing the registration process, you will get your library card at the service desk

Students from other universities: Students from other universities can register as library patrons. Please bring a proof of your current enrollment to complete the registration process.
Students from state universities in NRW can use the library for free, students from private universities will be charged an annual fee of 10 EUR.
