H-BRS supports Ukrainian partner university

Chernihiv Polytechnic National University Building

Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is continuing its cooperation projects with its partner university Chernihiv Polytechnic National University even under the present difficult conditions. H-BRS has set up an Emergency Fund Ukraine, through which refugee students can receive support from us.

H-BRS strongly condemns Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Many people are suffering, their dreams and perspectives from peacetime are hardly realisable any more. Even studying and working in academia are only possible under tremendously difficult conditions, if at all.

Now H-BRS would like to support the reconstruction of its partner university in Chernihiv. There, with a lot of commitment and improvisational talent, the destroyed buildings and laboratories are being repaired.

Donations account

Vice-Presidents Marco Winzker and Jürgen Bode have set up a donations account through which anyone who would like to help can contribute to making study and research possible again. The donations will be used to finance power generators, laboratory equipment, computers, printers and scanners, which are urgently needed.
