DAAD Prize 2025 for outstanding achievements by international students goes to Pallavi Aithal Narayan
Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) is awarding the DAAD Prize 2025 to Pallavi Aithal Narayan, a student from India enrolled in the Master's programme in Autonomous Systems (MAS). With this prize, the university honours outstanding academic achievements and exceptional social commitment on the part of international students.

Workshop week with guests from Jordan and Lebanon
From 24 to 27/28 November 2025, H-BRS welcomed guests from Jordan and Lebanon. The reason for the visit was two ongoing DAAD Ta'ziz short-term projects, each of which included a workshop at H-BRS.

Year in review: Partnership with the Vietnamese-German University
Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg looks back on an intensive year of cooperation with the Vietnamese-German University (VGU). H-BRS is a founding member of the German consortium association of the VGU and has been involved in the development of joint study programmes for many years. The cooperation agreement, which has been in place since 2016, was successfully extended for another five years this year.

ICSP delegation visits Cybersecurity Campus Paris
Prof. Petra Haferkorn travelled to Paris from Sankt Augustin together with her colleagues Prof. Stefan Schiffner and Prof. Hannes Tschofenig as part of a delegation from the ICSP at H-BRS. The two-day trip, organised by the IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, brought entrepreneurs and experts to the Cybersecurity Campus Paris in La Défense, one of Europe's leading centres for cybersecurity. The aim was to open up new perspectives for teaching, research and future cooperation.

Change to the examination registration period
In order to be able to offer support during the exam registration period, the examination boards of the Department of Computer Science have brought forward the registration period for the exams for the 2025/2026 winter semester to the period before the university closes.
