The conditions for teaching, learning and research are undergoing continuous change. We believe that one of our most important tasks is not only to react to this change, but to also anticipate and help create it.

Our mission: The H-BRS library sees itself as an active and forward-thinking partner in study, teaching, research, further education and cultural activities.

From a traditionally stock-oriented library, we have changed into a modern learning centre where, in addition to literature and reading, discovery and creation, interaction and communication are in the foreground.

Following the idea of the "Third Place", we create an environment that is open to all and where the exchange of knowledge and public life come together.

We use the chances that come from networking and digitalisation to promote a new learning culture and to develop a future-oriented infrastructure for study, research and further education. This also includes setting new accents and including educational, didactic, technological or research-related topics in our work spectrum.
