DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) - Language Certificate
The DAAD language certificate serves as proof of your language skills and is required for scholarships, studies abroad or internships abroad together with the other application documents.
The examination required for issuing the certificate comprises a written and an oral part and tests the existing knowledge and skills in the areas of listening comprehension, reading comprehension and written and oral expression. The oral part of the examination consists of a short subject-related examination interview or presentation; in the written part, you will be asked questions on listening and reading comprehension and must write a short subject-related essay.
Information on the language skills that need to be demonstrated at the individual levels can be found on the official form of the DAAD language certificate provided below.
The exam is offered exclusively to students of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences; please register via LEA. The prerequisite for registering for a test date for the DAAD language certificate is that you are already in contact with the International Office or the responsible contact person in the respective department regarding the planning of a semester or an internship abroad. Please note that you can only register for one test date per semester and that it is only possible to retake the test once in the subsequent semester.
