No face-to-face courses for the time being
Online teaching not affected
The President's Office intends to provide clarity about the period after 10 January in the near future. The procedure will be coordinated with the departments. Online teaching is not affected by the regulation.
No more exceptions for labs and exams
The current winter semester was characterised by digital teaching right from the start. In general, courses are held online. However, the President's Office had allowed exceptions for labs, as well as for oral examinations with up to three participants. The new version of the Corona Protection Ordinance, which is now taking effect, means that these exceptional events are no longer possible. " Face-to-face lectures are prohibited," the ordinance states.
In addition, no face-to-face examinations may take place until 10 January, unless the date cannot be rescheduled.
Library
The library will be closed from 16 December to 10 January. However, university members have the opportunity to borrow books until 18 December and again as of 4 January. The library asks for scheduling an appointment at +49 2241 865 680 (Sankt Augustin) and +49 2241 865 480 (Rheinbach). Books can be returned via the return boxes until 23 December and again as of 4 January.
Campus cafeterias closed
The Studierendenwerk cafeteria at Sankt Augustin Campus will be closed between 16 December and 10 January. The Rheinbach cafeteria had already ceased its services at the end of November.
