Witt on steering committee of ASIIN

At the end of 2014, the ASIIN Accreditation Agency elected Professor Kurt-Ulrich Witt from the Department of Computer Science of BRSU onto its steering committee. The Accreditation Commission ultimately passes decisions on the accreditation of study programmes based on the recommendations issued by the expert committees concerned.

The ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) advocates the recognition, comparability and quality assurance of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmesASIIN is one of a total of ten accreditation agencies admitted in Germany. It is responsible for accrediting study programmes in engineering and natural sciences, in computer science and mathematics. Furthermore, ASIIN is now involved in establishing accreditation standards and systems on a global scale, especially in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Professor Witt was previously a member of the Expert Committee on Computer Science from November 2008 to October 2014, and from November 2011 he was also a spokesman for the committee.
