Online semester started

Desk, balcony or couch instead of lecture hall: The online semester has started at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. Due to the corona pandemic, the courses offered have been converted to digital formats.

"It was quite a tour de force  - not only for teachers, but also for all those who provide the support," says Iris Groß, Vice President for Teaching, Learning and Further Education.Even before the official start of the semester on 20 April, courses had already been held digitally in various ways.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who, with great commitment, have made this digital start to the semester possible" says university president Hartmut Ihne. The President's Office will now further specify the framework for the operation of the university in the summer semester. An important basis for this is the new Corona Epidemic University Ordinance of the State of NRW.

Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is participating in the social media campaign "Online-Campus NRW - The universities start into the summer semester 2020". The campaign is intended to motivate students to learn at home and to use the services offered by the universities online.
