The International Office supported a three day trip for an international student group to Berlin, 14th-16th October. It was the first overnight city trip and a special event because of the official opening of the International Office in December.

The ten students and a staff member from the International Office started on Friday and returned on Sunday. It was a wonderful trip and we walked a lot to get to know every part of Berlin. After the first day we felt more and more comfortable and got used to the local transport system. We took a lot of photos at the Brandenburgertor, Reichstag, Museumsinsel, Alexanderplatz and of course the Berlin Wall (East Side Gallery).

We visited all the places recommended by the tour guides and the sun was shining the whole time. In the evening we went to a restaurant with typical Berlin cuisine. Apart from Currywurst and beer from Berlin, we also tasted Eisbein. The next day we visited the Pergamon museum and enjoyed our last day in Berlin. When we returned to Berlin central station everyone was sad once they realized how quickly the time had flown by. Back in Bonn everyone wanted to know “when will we be going back?”

The International Office usually offers three trips per year, please check out our homepage to find more informations.
