The eleven Chinese students are currently taking part in an intensive German course in the Language Centre on our Sankt Augustin campus. After having completed this training, they are going to start the last two years of their studies leading towards the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration within the “2+2”-programme.

The trip, which was organised by the International Office on 5 August, was a refreshing change for the Chinese students during their intensive German training: they enjoyed a one-hour guided tour of Augustusburg Castle, a masterpiece of the Rococo period, which is also included in UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List. The students marvelled at the Chinese elements of decoration, such as vases and a desk with Chinese motives, which provided for interesting cross-cultural points of interest.

Surprisingly, the weather was nice, which enabled the group to visit and enjoy the beautiful park surrounding the castle. After the trip, the Chinese students’ Study Buddies invited them to join in a bowling night.
