Opening hours of the university during Carnival 2025
"Kunterbund und tolerant, su senn mir he im Jeckenland." In 2025, members of the university will once again get some time off during the fifth season of the year to cultivate customs. On Weiberfastnacht employees are off from 13.00, the university closes at 22:00 and the library is also open until 22:00. The adjoining buildings and the side entrances to the main building close at 14:00. The university will be closed on Shrove Monday (Rosenmontag).

Weiberfastnacht
On Wieverfastelovend, Thursday, 3 March 2025, university employees will be off from 13:00, and from 14:00 only the main building and library will be open. From 13:00 all telephone advisory services such as those offered by the Student Advice Centre, the Registrar's Office or the Language Centre will also be cancelled.

Rose Monday
On Monday, 3 March 2025, the university, including the library, will be closed all day and there will be no telephone consultation.
Library open on Weiberfastnacht
Thursday, 27 February 2025 (Weiberfastnacht). February 2025 (Weiberfastnacht):
- Library Rheinbach Campus and Sankt Augustin Campus open until 22:00 (specialist staff until 13:00)
Saturday, 1. March 2025
- Library Rheinbach Campus and Sankt Augustin Campus open from 10:00 am to 22:00 (specialist staff until 15:00)
Sunday, 2. March 2025
- Rheinbach Campus and Sankt Augustin Campus library open from 10:00 am to 18:00 (without specialist staff)
