The Master's degree course in Mechanical Engineering at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is rated well by students: The new CHE ranking shows that the transition to the Master's course and the organization of the course are particularly well received. For the ranking, the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) surveyed Master's students across Germany.

The Master's degree course in Mechanical Engineering in Sankt Augustin received top marks for the criteria “Transition to the Master's degree course” and “Organization of studies”. With grades of 1.5 and 1.3, the course is in the top group of the universities surveyed in both cases. The Master's degree program is also among the top group in terms of the proportion of students who complete their studies within a reasonable period of time.

The course achieved very solid results with regard to other criteria such as “general study situation” (1.9), “range of courses” (2.2) and “digital teaching elements” (1.9).

The Master's program in Mechanical Engineering at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg offers the specializations Mechatronics and Virtual Product Development. The study structure provides for two days of classroom study and three days of project study per week. Throughout their studies, students work independently on an individual Master's project that prepares them for their Master's thesis.

The CHE ranking with the current assessments of almost 10,000 Master's students nationwide can be viewed online. The subjects of engineering and psychology were newly examined. Student assessments and facts on research and teaching together provide an overview of the study conditions for Master's courses in the individual subjects. The student magazine ZEIT Campus publishes a selection of the results. The ranking results for engineering sciences at universities and HAW/universities of applied sciences can be found in the current issue 1/23.
