Diversity and creativity: Film Festival 2025

The award ceremony for the up-and-coming filmmakers will take place on 17 January at 5 p.m. in Lecture Hall 7. The event is open to the public and interested guests are very welcome.

Students from the media degree programmes Technical Journalism and Visual Technical Communication took part.

The submitted works will be honoured in five categories: Knowledge Transfer, Dramaturgy and Storytelling, Visualisation, Editing and Montage and Moderation.

The spectrum of contributions is diverse: it includes talk programmes, knowledge videos, short films, documentary content as well as expressive image films and works with complex computer animations.

This time, the jury is made up of the following people:

• Prof. Dr Johannes Geilen, Professor of Technical Mechanics, H-BRS
• Meike Seibert, editor and author at ZDF
• Esther Hummel, Film Editor, Communications and Marketing staff unit, H-BRS
• Dipl.-Ing.agr. Sabine Fricke, filmmaker, lecturer in moving image communication and science journalism, H-BRS
