Time

21:00 - 22:00

On Saturday, October 12, Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg will broadcast the next episode of Bluedot FM from 9 to 10 p.m. - a project by students and employees of H-BRS who meet in their free time to learn and produce radio programs. The current episode is all about the fascination behind video games and their future development.

Reporters Jean-Pierre Heinhold and Henrik Baumanns took a look around Gamescom, the world's largest video games trade fair, and report on innovations and the importance of small "indie developers" and the economic weight of the video games industry as a whole.

This time, André Hinkenjann, founding director of the Institute for Visual Computing and research professor for computer graphics and interactive systems, was a guest in the studio. Presenters Melanie Kruse and Jonas Girgenrath spoke to him about the Visual Computing and Games Technology Master's degree program at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, the secret of good games, the German gaming market and the impact of video games on our society.

If you miss the show, you can also listen to it afterwards on Bluedot FM.
