Mobility with Partner Countries

International Credit Mobility (ICM) is an initiative within Key Action 1 (KA171) of the Erasmus+ Program. Under ICM, European universities can establish mobility agreements with partners worldwide to send and host staff and students. Students can study abroad and receive an Erasmus+ scholarship for living expenses and travel costs. Staff can teach abroad and/or undergo training and also receive an Erasmus+ scholarship. The aim is to support students and staff in acquiring key competencies and skills and improving their employability.

Collaborations with partner countries under KA171 are typically coordinated by a department. The selection of participants takes place there.

Selection Process

The selection of participants is at the discretion of the program coordinators. The following selection criteria apply:

• Motivation (academic and personal statement)

• Academic performance

• Language skills

• Engagement (both within and outside the university)

Detailed information on the selection process and application deadlines can be obtained from the respective departments.
