CrossComITS presents stories on cyber security at Digitaltag 2024

Digitaltag - Projekt CrossComITS präsentiert sich mit zwei Lesungen

Friday 14 June 2024

In cooperation with the Evangelische Erwachsenenbildung an Sieg und Rhein, Prof Dr Wolfgang Heiden presented entertaining stories about cybersecurity in two readings at the Digitaltag 2024 as part of the CrossComITS project at H-BRS in Siegburg.

The CrossComITS project, funded by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, examines the needs and challenges of vulnerable groups in society, such as people with a history of migration, senior citizens and young people, in relation to digitalisation.

The aim is to develop a strategy to strengthen their IT security skills. The aim is to identify specific support to protect these groups from the risks of digitalisation and promote their digital sovereignty. In the long term, the findings of the project should enable these groups to participate in the digital society in a secure and self-determined manner.

Geschichten zur Cybersicherheit

On Digital Day 2024, author Heiden impressed the audience with the presentation of two new stories that were created as part of the CrossComITS project and deal with the topic of cyber security.

The reading began with the gripping crime thriller "Der Stick des Todes", which captivated the audience. Heiden then presented the science fiction story "Leben auf dem Mars", which took the audience on an exciting journey into space.

Heiden, who also writes novels under the pseudonym Ingo Pagan, knows how to present the complex topic of cyber security in a simple and understandable way. Through his entertaining short stories, he succeeds in familiarising a broad audience with the importance of this topic and entertaining them at the same time.
