Vacation project: Radio play “Aschenpeter” sets an example against gender stereotypes
Summer vacation project promotes equality and challenges traditional role models through a modern radio play
Under the guidance of Katrin Berchner, podcast expert at the university, the girls gained insights into various aspects of radio play production. They dealt with acting, audio technology, sound design, background music and audio editing and acquired comprehensive knowledge and practical skills. The project was supported by the Department of Engineering and Communication, which not only provided the audio studio, but also ensured the technical implementation with the expertise of Marco Neumann.
The vacation course is a project of the university's Equal Opportunities Office, which aims to inspire girls for STEM professions and technical fields. The work on the radio play “Aschenpeter” shows impressively how young women can deal with social issues and at the same time acquire valuable technical and creative skills.
