Hackdays 2024: Schoolgirls develop creative solutions for schools
The event was organised by the Equal Opportunities Office of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, the zdi network of the Rhein-Sieg district and dedicated volunteers. The collaboration enabled the students to actively and creatively engage with their school environment and explore the possibilities of digital innovation.
The Hackdays 2024 were part of the "Schoolgirl Research Year: discover-try-create". This STEM year offers young women the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating fields of maths, computer science, natural sciences and technology. During the hackdays, the participants were able to creatively realise their ideas in these areas and gain valuable experience in the application of new technologies.
The hackdays were supported by "Make Your School" from Wissenschaft im Dialog. Make Your School is funded nationwide by the Klaus Tschira Foundation. The zdi network acts as a network hub for the Rhein-Sieg district.
The event provided the schoolgirls with an inspiring platform to put their ideas into practice while gaining insights into the world of technology and innovation.
