The cooking tutorial by students for students pursues the goal of learning how to prepare a sustainable, easily modifiable menu - which also includes food handling. While cooking, students get a glimpse behind the scenes of the university dining hall. Last but not least, the whole thing should of course be fun and taste good. You can get to know each other and have a nice evening with fellow students who share your interest in cooking.
When?
On Tuesday, 23 May 2023, from 18:00 to approximately 21:30.
Where?
In the large kitchen of the dining hall at the Sankt Augustin Campus (main building)
What's going on?
Four assistant cooks and a trained chef (all from the EMT department) cook a sustainable three-course menu together with four students each in the commercial kitchen of the dining hall in Sankt Augustin. The menu is vegetarian, but can also be prepared vegan. Ingredients, spices, utensils, etc. are provided. Last but not least, we will eat together. Leftovers can then be taken home. The menu that the four groups prepare is available in the cooking tutorial "Schmeckt Mir!" (PDF in German only).
How do I apply?
Students from all departments can register for the cooking tutorial beginning Monday, 8 May 2023, on the LEA platform for the "Cooking Workshop - Tastes Good to Me!" course.
The cooking tutorial is organized by Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the NEiS project of Verbraucherzentrale NRW.
