The professional world in the media sector is changing rapidly as a result of digital transformation. Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has invited media professionals to take part in a public lecture series, where they will present their respective fields of work and also describe the challenges and changes that digitalization is bringing to their professional field. The series will take place from October 18 to January 17 on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 7 in Sankt Augustin. On January 10, Sophie Schirmer, editorial director of SPIEGEL Start, will be a guest. The event will be held in German.

Sophie Schirmer has headed the SPIEGEL START team since October 2022, a journalistic offering with which "Spiegel" addresses the under-30 target group on the web. SPIEGEL Start is the successor project to "bento," the previous youth brand of "Spiegel. In her presentation, Sophie Schirmer explains why the publisher founded the SPIEGEL Start offering.
