Bio-inspired Nanomaterials

In this research field, research on cellular transport mechanisms is combined with application-oriented research on bio-inspired nanomaterials from chemistry and materials science. Objectives include the development of biopolymer-based vehicles for transport modulators and the transfer of knowledge on biological transport mechanisms to artificial membranes and membrane filtration technologies.
