Research Data: Survey Results Report
Researchers from all departments of the university took part in the survey, which took place in cooperation with the UNEKE project of the University of Duisburg-Essen and RWTH Aachen. Due to the good response rate, it was possible to gain a representative insight into storage practices and storage requirements for digital research data at H-BRS.
We have gained exciting insights, e.g. where and how the researchers store, archive and make their data accessible to others. We even found very creative solutions for dealing with research data.
The survey also gave participants the opportunity to express their wishes about how H-BRS could further support researchers in their digital data usage.
.
Many asked for sufficient technical infrastructure, but also for advice on many topics such as technical issues (metadata, standards), legal aspects (access restrictions, sensitive data, licenses) and publishing and citing research data.
The detailed results are available on request as a short report and diagrams (in German)
Thank you for your participation and interest!
