Taster course in sustainable chemistry and materials on Wednesday, 23 April
In the second week of the Easter holidays, we cordially invite you to a taster course in ‘Sustainable Chemistry and Materials’ in Rheinbach. Pupils aged 16 and over have the opportunity to get to know our university and the degree programme.

Our programme from last year's taster course:
09:15: Meet at car park P1 between buildings A and H at von-Liebig-Str. 8 in Rheinbach (see maps below)
09.30 - 10.30 a.m.: Welcome, group allocation and presentation on the ‘Sustainable Chemistry and Materials’ degree programme in room HU01, von-Liebig-Str. 8
10.30 - 11.00 a.m.: Taster lecture ‘Plastic packaging - a life before and after waste’ (Room HU01)
11.00 - 11:45 a.m.: Lunch break in the cafeteria and opportunity to visit the library
12.00 - 13.30: GROUP A: Project ‘Inorganic colour pigments - synthesis and use’
GROUP B: Project ‘A taster of materials science’
13.30 - 14.00: Break
14.00 - 15.30: GROUP A: Project ‘A taster of materials science
GROUP B: Project ‘Inorganic colour pigments - synthesis and use’
15:45 - 16:15: Q&A session with the student council and presentation of certificates of attendance in the cafeteria

The registration deadline is 14 April 2025.
Participation in the taster programme is free of charge, the number of places is limited. The taster course is taught entirely in German.
