Department of Natural Sciences: Deanship confirmed in office

Prof. Dr. Richard Jäger extends his term of office as Dean of the Department of Natural Sciences. Prof. Dr. Johannes Steinhaus remains Vice Dean.

The Department of Natural Sciences is pleased to announce the re-election of the current Deanship. After a successful term of office, the existing Deanship was confirmed for a further term of office at the Department Council meeting on May 23, 2024.

Richard Jäger has been Professor of Biology, in particular Forensic Biology, at H-BRS since 2012 and Head of the " Forensics Sciences" course. He took over as Dean of the Department of Natural Sciences in 2022.

Johannes Steinhaus, a graduate of our university, has been Professor of Materials Science, in particular Hybrid Materials Systems and Failure Analysis, Head of Industrial Services at the TREE Institute and Head of the "Materials Science and Sustainability Methods" Master's program in the Department of Natural Sciences since 2020. He continues to hold the position of Vice Dean, which he has also held since 2022.
