Alohomora! - Party of the degree programme Autonomous Systems
As tradition demands, the new students from the Master Autonomous Systems degree programme were assigned to the correct houses at the beginning of the ceremony with the help of the talking hat as Young Witches and Young Wizards. There is the house of the brave and courageous, who face the new challenges and fearlessly fight their way through all tasks and exams, the house of the righteous and loyal with those who are patient and faithful and spare no effort, through diligence they reach their goal, the house of those with a clear mind, who are clever and get through their studies quickly and without much effort and then there is the house of the cunning, who use every means to reach their goal. Who will make it to the colloquium the fastest?
The head witches and head wizards also followed the events full of suspense. Which new young witches and young wizards would push them to their limits this semester? Or was it really going to be an ambitious, striving and obedient cohort?
They were lucky with last year's cohorts and as a team they even managed to win the world championship title in RoboCup@work 2023. Particularly talented wizards won prizes and awards for successful final papers and projects.
Head Witch Master Iman Awaad has documented all the important events in the newspaper edition "Daily Prophet WS 2023". The comprehensive issue shows on how many levels not only the students but also their teachers were successful. Which witches and wizards took new paths into the wider world and which ones have newly joined the team and are now passing on their knowledge.
The highlight of the event was the appearance of Voldemort, who was unable to do anything against the good mood and concentrated happiness and enjoyed the rich buffet and the fantastic cakes together with all the witches and wizards. The pastry chef had made a cake for each house and the many witches and wizards had served up specialities from their home countries. Fantastic! And because word has already spread around the world that the MAS party is a very special one, alumni also travelled to attend the spectacle.
The Department of Computer Science wishes everyone a successful degree programme! The magic tournament is on!
