b-it-bots place 2nd in the @Work league at German Open 2015
Once more the b-it-bots@Work team was very successful in a competition:
2nd place in the RoboCup@Work league at the GermanOpen 2015 in Magdeburg
Compared to the previous years, there were more teams competing in the @Work league this year (in total seven). Therefore the MAS students (Oscar Lima, Shehzad Ahmed, Santosh Thoduka, Alexander Moriarty, Ashok Sundaram and Arka Mallick) worked hard to make this podium place happen.
The team started very well in the first runs and could maintain even the first place for a very long time. But due to a hardware and networking problem, the team lost important points in the battle with the LUHbots team (Hannover) for the 1st place. In the finals, the LUHBots had an almost perfect run and were very quick, so that it was very hard for our team to catch up.
But the team did a great job and invested a huge amount of time in the preparation and competition. All team members are very glad about the podium place and would like to thank everybody for the great support.
Impressions of the competition can be found on our Facebook page.
