Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology (BSc)
The study programme combines subjects as human biology, microbiology, genetics and cell culture with chemistry and computing sciences – an excellent preparation for either a career in industry or at university. The standard period of study for obtaining the BSc degree is six semesters, including a final project.
Students may spend the fifth semester at one of our partner universities in the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Belgium, Poland or Italy. Some of our partner universities award a double degree to our students if they also spend the sixth semester abroad.
Academic and examination results will be quoted as credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Successful students will be awarded the B.Sc. degree in Applied Biology by the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. This degree enables graduates to apply for national and international master programmes including our Master in Biomedical Sciences (MSc).
