Research at the university
Research focus: Visual Computing
The Visual Computing specialisation deals with the processing of visual information. Basic research is combined with application-orientated research. The topics of visualisation, interactive environments, augmented/mixed/virtual reality, image synthesis and computer vision are researched.
Current research is penetrating all areas in which visual information is utilised. The focus on visual computing characterises the research profile of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and can be found on the research map of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK). The Visual Computing research focus is largely supported by the Institute of Visual Computing.
