Admission requirements for the master's degree programme in Marketing

We would be pleased to inform you here about admission and application for the Master's degree programme in Marketing (MSc).

Prerequisites

A first professionally qualifying university degree in economics or a closely related degree programme is required for admission to the Master's degree programme in Marketing.

The required level of English must be at least B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. We accept the following tests as proof

  •  the following tests: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge CAE. An overview of all tests can be found below under "Further links": English language certificates accepted by Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
  •  The university entrance qualification can be uploaded as proof, provided that it also shows English language proficiency at level B2 (usually applicable for German university entrance qualifications, e.g. German Abitur).
  •  Applicants with a school-leaving certificate or a Bachelor's degree in English are exempt from providing proof of English language proficiency.

At least 210 credit points (ECTS) must have been achieved in the professionally qualifying degree. The proportion of economics modules including quantitative methodology must be at least 70 credit points (ECTS). If the requirements are met, places are allocated via a local selection procedure (NC procedure). If the professionally qualifying university degree was assessed with less than 210 credit points but at least 180 credit points, the "Practical Term" module must be completed with a duration of at least 20 and a maximum of 27 weeks.
