Two awards for MAS students
Especially for the Autonomous Systems group the trip to Rheinbach proved quite worthwile. Two MAS students received awards fro their achievements:
Teena Hassan won the DAAD Award 2014 granted by the German Academic Exchange Service for soon finishing the MAS Master as one of the best students of her year. At the same time she volunteered as a "Study Buddy" thus helping other international students to settle in. In her speech she thanked her tutors for their excellent counseling during the course.

Her fellow student Praveen Ramanujam received the award of the steering committee. He convinced the jury by his extraordinary commitment for international students whom he supported in his role as a "Study Buddy". A very rewarding experience, Ihne pointed out, that will not only add intercultural competency to a students CV but will also bring a lot of fun for everyone involved. Additionally,he contributed to the concept of foundation courses at the beginning of each course that will give new students a good start.

In the entrance hall, BRSUs PhD candidates presented their research in a poster exhibition organized by the Graduate Institute. The exhibition will stay in Rheinbach for the next week and will then be moved to the Sankt Augustin campus. Feel free to stop by and get a good overview of research activities in our department.
