Very good response: approximately 45% of all international students at our University took part in the survey. Deepa Gurung is the winner of a book voucher.

From early November to mid-December, the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences took part in the worldwide survey on student satisfaction, which was conducted among international students and encompassed their study and living conditions, admission procedures, support at their universities alike. This survey is part of an international research study that is conducted in collaboration with the international “i-graduate” institute in the UK.

More than 220 universities on five continents took part in the survey. The rate of participation among the more than 500 international students at our University was over 45%. We can expect to obtain meaningful results from this extraordinarily high response rate, which will contribute to improving conditions for our international students.

Nepalese student Deepa Gurung’s participation in the survey bore immediate fruit: her name was picked in a draw carried out among the participants. As a result, the proud winner was awarded a book voucher for € 50.00 by Prof. Dr Wiltrud Terlau, Vice-President for Internationalisation and International Cooperation, and Dr Roland Weiß, Head of the International Office. Deepa Gurung is currently in her third semester of the Master’s degree course in Biomedical Sciences at Rheinbach. During the award ceremony, she said that two additional compatriates from Nepal had recently been encouraged to enrol for a degree course at our University because of the information she had given them.
