Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and Polytechnic of Namibia Conclude Agreement

The Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is expanding its engagement in Africa. The first co-operation agreement was signed with the University of Cape Coast, Ghana; this was followed by the partnership with the Agrotechnical Training College in Ethiopia, which is run by the organisation “Menschen für Menschen”.

Now the partnership with the Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek has been placed on a legal foundation: for this purpose, the President of the Namibian university, Prof. Dr Tjama Tjivikua, and Vice President Prof. Dr Wiltrud Terlau signed a co-operation agreement in Sankt Augustin.

For the time being, co-operation will start in the work area of Health and Social Security, with Prof. Mockenhaupt being in charge of co-ordination. Mockenhaupt has already been engaged as a guest professor for teaching at the new partner university on two occasions.
