We are thrilled to be able to share a collection of resources with our social protection community through a new monthly newsletter: MSc Social Protection Insights.

Our newsletter is published on the first of each month and features:

  • Events and updates from the field of social protection
  • Highlights about our amazing students, alumni, and lecturers
  • Overview of program modules
  • Publications and resources

 

The purpose of our newsletter is to feature the great work being accomplished all over the world in the field of social protection in one place, and to highlight how our students and lecturers are able to connect what is discussed in the classroom to the real working world.

The department's Vice Dean Prof Dr Michael Sauer is welcoming Batch 2024 students

Sharing our eleventh edition  with plenty of event and reading recommendations! We’re excited to welcome first-semester students (Batch 2024), celebrate a successful alumni seminar in Ghana, a new Honorary Professor, and our academic head’s appointment as a director at IZNE!

Sharing our tenth edition of our "MSc Social Protection Insights" newsletter with some interesting resources for your summer break! As our current students are about to wrap up their second semester and master's theses, applications for the DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme scholarship for our 2025 intake are still possible!

Can you believe it is already our ninth newsletter? June marks the end of the winter 2024 application window, and the beginning of the DAAD scholarship application window for winter 2025.

The December 2023 newsletter is all about applications! Applications are officially open and we hope to see you on our Virtual Open Day on December 16. 

2023 Graduation

For our November 2023  newsletter, we share our experience on our annual trip to Brussels, and celebrate the graduation of over 40 M.Sc. students.

The 3rd edition of our newsletter is from October 2023 and features an alumni winning the department's Best Thesis Award, plus we officially welcome our new 2023 batch of students to H-BRS.

Check out our September 2023 edition. In our 2nd newsletter, we feature an alumni seminar in Tanzania and a recently published framework from two of our alumni.
