Kurzbeschreibung
The garrulus project is a TREE project which is researching the application of drones and AI for reforestation. Currently the Project has a prototype device which is able to plant fake seed cases into the ground. The task of the project is to research and develop a real seed case that, when sown with the seeding device produces, a treeseedling. The seed case should meet the following criteria:
- Protect the seed case in transport
- Protect the seed case during the operation of the seeding device
- Enable the seed to reach the optimal soil depth for germination
- Have little impact on the seeds germination and growth

Projektphasen
Masterprojekt 1: Seed case material selection and design :
- Research and select appropriate materials for seed case
- Materials should not impact seed case growth negatively
- Material should protect the seed case during transport and sowing
Masterprojekt 2: Seed case development and experimentation
- Create seed cases to perform experiments on
- Perform seed case sowing experiments
- Perform germination experiments
Masterthesis: Evaluation, selection and production design
- Evaluate the results from the experiments
- Select the optimal seed case
- Design a methodology for bulk production of the seed case
