Libary establishes "Year of Sustainability"

Libraries are centres of culture and learning that share and supply information, knowledge and digital infrastructures long-term and easily accessible for people from all walks of life - making their existence an indispensible contribution to sustainable development. With its "Year of Sustainability", the University and District Library wants to draw attention to topics relating to the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations with various events and (hands-on) activities.

The campaign will open with a panel discussion on ‘Sustainability Perspectives in Companies’ and a plant exchange

Other future events in the first half of the year include a book reading on the topic, an exhibition, sewing and crafting bees and and exchange for everyday items.

Thematic media exhibitions in our new exhibition shelves will accompany the events.
