The HANNOVER MESSE 2013 (April 8 to 12, 2013) is the biggest industrial trade show worldwide. It has as lead theme "Integrated Industry", the growing integration of all areas of industry. The BRSU Department of Computer Science is represented by two research projects: EduFill of Dr. Björn Kahl with the youBot as platform, and the ZIM research project IVAB of the working group Computer Graphics of Prof. André Hinkenjann.

The KUKA youBot offers the researchers and students of the international Master of Autonomous Systems manifold opportunities for R&D within the context of mobile manipulation. For the first time in public the youBot will be presented with its own robot hand. The open-source-programme-interface, the socalled youBot API, has been developed by the research team of Professor Erwin Prassler.

The research project IVAB is developing a software for the planning of prefabricate houses: Various interactive, high quality 3D rendering approaches are used that will enable constructors to take easier and cost-effective decisions on interior design and fitting options.

Interested visitors can get information on these projects at the exhibition stand of the Wissenschaftsregion Bonn (science region Bonn): Halle 2 (Research & Technology), Stand D 31.
