Theory of Mind(ToM) is known as the ability to attribute mental states to oneself and others. It is an import human capability that allows us to better understand and predict other agents around us, thus facilitating better learning, cooperation, as well as competition. Due to these reasons, it is also of great interest for researchers and developers of interactive intelligent systems, as it may allow a better modeling of and adaption to the systems’ users. ToM modeling has a long history and different techniques have been used. The talk will first explain the most common concepts of ToM as well as its most prominent flaws and fallacies before going over different computational models that have been developed for different applications.
Look forward to an interesting lecture with Jan Pöppel.
All students and colleagues of the university are cordially invited to participate in the Master of Autonomous Systems Seminar Advanced Topics in AI and Robotics. In this seminar series, experts from different areas of AI and robotics present their topics, ranging from the latest advances in machine learning to human-robot interaction.
The seminar will take place every Monday at 17:00 in the period from 27 March 2023 to 26 June 2023 and will be held online as a Webex webinar. The details of the lecture and the webinar link will be updated on this page every week.
