BRS Motorsport members invited to virtual event at SZTU

On 2 November 2021, the 2nd anniversary celebration of Shenzhen Technology University's (SZTU) Racing Car Studio and New Car Launch Event was held in the university's facilities. The H-BRS Institute for Technology, Resource and Energy Efficiency (TREE) as the cooperation partners of SZTU's Racing Car Studio and members of H-BRS' formula student team BRS Motorsport, were invited to join the celebration online. Prof. Dr. Shuangchen Ruan, President of the Shenzhen Technology University, gave the keynote speech.

As active members of the new collaboration activities, the two H-BRS students Alexander Busch and Sandro Elsweijer were invited by Professor Franz Raps, Dean of SZTU College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, to witness and celebrate together the introduction of the Aurora-21 racecar via virtual connection. The Captain of SZTU Racing Car Studio introduced the performance and design highlights of the new Aurora-21, the first electric formula racing car designed and developed by the SZTU team.

In the transcontinental cooperation project led by Professor Dirk Reith from H-BRS, Director of the TREE Institute and Faculty Advisor of BRS Motorsport, and Professor Raps, team members from both universities meet and discuss online regularly, thereby sharing knowledge and experiences in car design, construction and racing. Our students are looking forward to visit their Chinese partners face-to-face at Shenzhen Technology University in the near future.

Attendees present at the celebration were amnog others: representatives from cooperation enterprises and sponsors, representatives from South China Agricultural University, Guangdong University of Technology, and Shenzhen Polytechnic.
