Call for Lightning Talk Submission

Location: Online or @ Shenzhen Technology University, Pingshan District, Shenzhen, China

We are delighted to invite researchers, educators, practitioners, and industry leaders to submit their original contributions to the inaugural International Business Case Conference on "Bridging Innovation, Education, and Collaboration for a Sustainable Future in a Digital Era". This event is hosted by Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and the Virtual Exchange (VE) China Hub. SZTU and the VE China Hub are part of the Consortium of Virtual Exchange, a community of virtual exchange enthusiasts, educators, and administrators.

This conference aims to explore how digital advancements can drive sustainable development, with a particular focus on educational innovation, cross-cultural collaboration, and partnerships with local enterprises. Accepted contributions will be further developed into chapters in the conference book (ISBN in China).

Here are the areas for you to consider:

  • 1. Educational Innovations for Sustainable Development: Exploring how global virtual exchanges inspire educational innovations. Strategies to promote sustainable development through transformative learning practices.
  • 2. Virtual Exchange and Online Learning: Sharing successful experiences and case studies in virtual exchange and online learning. Best practices for leveraging digital tools to enhance educational outcomes.
  • 3. Cross-Cultural Student Collaboration: Practices and innovations in fostering cross-cultural student collaboration. Lessons learned from global partnerships and joint student programs/projects.
  • 4. Industry-Academia Collaboration: Programs/projects with local enterprises that extended an understanding of industry-academia collaborations. Case studies on successful collaborations between academia and industry for sustainable development.
  • Other topics that fit under the conference and lightning talk theme.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract Length: 400-500 words, APA style preferred. This is the topic you plan to share at the lightning talk sessions, the format of which will be a 10-minute talk + a 5-minute Q&A
  • Submissions should be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.
  • If you are interested in publishing your abstract as a chapter in the conference book, please specify in your submission. After acceptance, we will invite you to extend it to a Chapter, with an expected length of 1200-2000 words.

  • Notification of Acceptance: May 4, 2025
  • Chapter Submission Deadline: June 25, 2025
