At its June meeting in Tallinn, Estonia, the EU-FarmBook project consortium decided to launch the digital platform in October 2023. H-BRS is part of the consortium, which consists of 29 organizations and research institutions from 18 EU countries, including TREE researchers Yasari and Seuser.

The aim of the digital platform is to transfer innovations to agriculture and forestry in Europe. From October 2023, the platform will be available for uploading information; a public launch event is planned for early 2024.

The Estonian Ministry, Center for Research and Knowledge in Rural Estonia (METK), hosted the meeting. Estonia is a pioneer in digitalization in the agricultural sector. The first knowledge and networking platform existed there as early as 2001. Madis Kallas, Estonia's Minister of Regional and Rural Affairs, personally welcomed the project members to his ministry in the heart of Tallinn and emphasized that he supports the networking of Estonia and national platforms with EU-FarmBook.

Professor Katharina Seuser and Aysegül Yasari from the TREE Research Institute are contributing to raising awareness of the EU-FarmBook offering in Europe by developing a communication strategy and networking with the press. Awareness of the platform and support from all EU member states is essential to its success. Through the participation of many and the upload of so-called knowledge objects, EU-FarmBook can become the most important reference point for knowledge and innovation in Europe for agriculture.
