The tasks of Technical Facility Management include in particular:

• Building operations management - ensuring the general operational safety of the building:
  • Heat and energy supply
  • Building management system
  • Heating
  • Ventilation
  • Emergency lighting
  • Fire alarm system
  • Troubleshooting
  • Energy management
  • Cost tracking Management, optimisation etc.
• Adaptations in the existing building technology due to technical requirements of the divisions or legal requirements
• Repairs and troubleshooting of technical building systems during operation
• Commissioning of external companies in the area of building services engineering, including coordination when several external companies are used, briefing of the external companies and assistance with the issuing of permits
• Inspection and maintenance of technical building systems (e.g. ventilation systems, pressure vessels, lift systems, lightning protection systems, fire alarm systems, fire dampers, smoke and heat extraction systems, gas warning systems, waste water systems, pipelines, etc.) incl. documentation.
• From the area of laboratory technology and equipment: Inspection and maintenance of the safety-relevant areas of the fume cupboards and safety cabinets. Excluded from this are filter systems and scrubbers
• Operation and maintenance of the building's electrical systems and performance of the function of "responsible electrician" for the administration area of work
• Support of the sections in the testing of portable electrical equipment
• Renovation and modernisation measures in technical building equipment
• Energy monitoring of electricity consumption
• Assumption of tasks of the branches according to the support description
• Carrying out small repairs and small work orders in the field of construction and technology by housekeeping service providers
