Youth engagement for the future of the world

Very impressively and with stirring images, the film "Dear Future Children" illuminates how three young women are fighting with all means for a just and sustainable future of our planet and for the "future children". The documentary will be shown in English with German subtitles. The German/British/Austrian production by director Franz Böhm was awarded the rating "Especially Valuable".

Three countries, three conflicts, three women and a pretty similar fate: tear gas and rubber bullets, water cannons and deadly drought, governments that don't want to listen and a young generation that is rightly angry.

But they have no intention of giving up: neither Hilda, who is fighting for the future of our environment in Uganda, nor Rayen or Pepper, who are taking to the streets for more social justice and democracy in Santiago de Chile and Hong Kong. They continue to fight. For their own and for our future children.

For the discussion afterwards, Pablo Núñez (psychologist and consultant for political and cultural education) and Simon Dubischar (activist with Fridays for Future Bonn) will be happy to join you.

The event is supported by Engagement Global with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and organised by the initiative Respekt! in cooperation with the Fairtrade Town Sankt Augustin and the "Eine Welt-Regionalpromotorin Südliches NRW/Region Bonn".
