The university administration strongly recommends, regardless of legal requirements, that proven hygiene measures such as the AHA rules be maintained at the university to ensure protection from Covid 19 infection. Specifically, it is recommended that a medical mask or FFP2 mask is to be worn in university buildings.

With Bib-Discover, you can search the library's entire collection and all digital content (e.g. databases and electronic journals) in just one step. Bib-Discover offers a variety of options for refining the hit list and processing the search results.
Targeted searches in the individual databases can still be performed in the Digital Library.

Please contact us at the service desk or send your forms to bibliothek@h-brs.de, we will process the forms at once.

The use of the library is free of charge for members of H-BRS - with the exception of a few services.

External customers pay an annual fee of 10 euros (exception: students at state universities in NRW).

Fees are due if you exceed the loan period:

• up to 10 calendar days per item: 2 euros
• up to 20 calendar days per item: 5 euros
• up to 30 calendar days per item: 10 euros
• over 30 calendar days per item: 20 Euro

Other fee-based services:

• Inter-library loan orders (1,50 Euro per order)
• Issue of a duplicate user card: 10 Euro
• Administrative expenses due to replacement (loss, damage to a medium): 25 Euros
• Provision of written bibliographical or related information - 45 Euros for each working hour spent (minimum fee 15 Euros)

Books and journal articles from other libraries can be ordered via interlibrary loan.

Employees and professors can order literature for official use via the Acquisition Department of the Library. The books stay in your office and are paid from your budget.

Please check your library account and the loan period of your borrowed media. Our library system now allows 2 renewals.
